Baby blankets are a must. I don’t agree that you need all the stuff you supposedly need for babies, but blankets, yes. You need baby blankets. Their smaller than regular blankets so your baby can crawl around with it. Plus when baby blankets get messy that’s less to wash than full-size blankets.
If you can find blankets with nice soft edges - like a satin edge. Or look for blankets with bigger tags. I’ve met more than one baby in my time obsessed with baby blanket tags. It seems silly, but when Cedar was tiny and couldn’t sleep, you’d see him sooth himself by rubbing his blanket tag. Other babies I know like that too. I’m not sure why; maybe it’s the repetition movement. In any case Two Blue Peas has some adorable new baby blankets/lovies from Angel Dear.
