Welcome to March! This is a good month because it means spring is almost here. We can all look forward to the sunshine and new flowers headed our way.
I thought that we’d celebrate the upcoming spring with a giveaway or two, starting with a great book for mamas and babies. In a post later today, I’ll give you a full review of this book, but for now I’ll just share which book it is, and how you can snag it.
This book is awesome and was written by the founder of the sign language program, WeeHands, Sara Bingham. Bingham is also a mama of two signing babes herself.
Rules:
We don’t have many rules around here. In fact, I can only think of a couple.
If you’d like to win this book, simply leave a comment on this post that says something akin to, “I’d like to win this sign language book.” Leave your comment by the end of March 19th.
Because I’m shipping this one, I’m going to have to limit eligible winners to the U.S. Sorry about that, but cross country shipping is just a bit much.
I’ll do a random drawing on the first day of spring - March 2oth to choose a winner.
Good luck! Check back later today for a review of this book.
I always said I would teach my baby sign language if I had one, and this week, we found out that we are expecting twins–I absolutely would love this book!
Wow, lots of you teaching (or wanting to teach your baby sign, too bad I don’t have about eight more copies. Thanks to all who have entered so far, and good luck.
this looks like a great book, especially since my son is almost three and not talking. I try to show he some easy signs but I don’t know that many. this book would be a great help for us to communicate better.
I would love to win this book! We are trying to conceive, and I am a home child care provider with three children under 1 yr of age. This could make my life so much easier!!
I had the privilege of teaching my first two children sign language and plan on teaching my now 4 month old. It is a wonderful tool to communicate. Plus, I was on my way to becoming an sign interpreter just before I got pregnant with my first. I still enjoy “talking” with my deaf friends.

I would love to win this book. I looked into a school that teachs baby sign but it was so expensive. and this way I can learn with my baby. Great way to bond together
I would love to win this. I have been teaching my nieces sign language since they were little. I’m still learning and have to look up words. This would be a great resource.
My husband and I are currently trying for a baby and I have always been fascinated with sign language. I would love to teach any little ones that I sign language.
This would be great for me , as my 3 year old son has a speach impairment and he see a speach thrapist 2x a week, and they are also teching him to use signing, so this would be a great win for me, so i can help him more!
I would love to teach my baby and kids to sign I was reading an article about an girl who at 17 months can read cursive and she was taught sign language I’m sure that it helped
I would love this book. I thought my little guy some signs. He didn’t use them much–except “more”. One day, several months after he had used any signs, he demanded “More” milk. I said, “Can you ask nicely?”. He put the cup down and signed “more”.
I would really love to win the sign language book…my daughter is 18 months old and we have been trying to teach her a few signs…thanks for letting me participate!
I’d like to win this sign language book because I am having my first in a few months. I think this maybe the closest thing to an instruction book are I can get!
Yes, I’d like to win this sign language book. It would be perfect. My daughter works with medically challenged babies and small children. Many of them have to sign due to having tach’s for breathing, feeding tubes and things. This would be so nice to give her to help the children learn. please enter me. thanks.
I feel that every child should be taught sign language - as well as a second language. They learn so quickly when they are small. It never ceases to amaze me! Thanks for the chance to win!
I teach my son sign language he is now 10 months old and has a few things down like eat more, mama grandma and grandpa down. I would like to know more signs to teach him so he can be advanced. Thank you so much i hope i win!
Please be advised that signing is always a stimulant to facilitate the visual, auditory, verbal parameters for infant development. Not as a preliminary replacement for verbal stimulation/development.

I would love to read this book one of kids had learned some signing because of hearing problems and ear infections I would also lend it out to all my clients(I am also a doula).
I would love to win this book. We have taught my daughter to sign and are currently teaching our son. He has a speech delay and so far the signs are helping immensely.
I would LOVE to win a copy of this book! I have three children of my own that I have researched sign for but taught them very little as I never found a great “Baby Sign” book that used ASL!
We are planning on signing with our little girl who is 3 months now. This book would really help me learn how to teach her the correct signs. Pick me! Pick me!
I picked this book up at chapters, also have a toddler with father who is deaf so little guy has been signing since he was a baby. This is a pretty good book for someone looking for a plan to use when introducing signs to their child.
i want so much for my little baby but do not really have the money for extra things like this book but i would love to have it so that my baby will be as smart as her potential thank you for your time.
The author’s name is Laura Berg and she teaches baby sign language classes (you can sign up online at Mysmarthands.com) as well as how to make your own baby sign language flash cards. I’m loving her baby sign language video on dictionary terms and I hope she comes out with a DVD soon!
Have something to add? Of course you do! So post it here:

I feel that every child should be taught sign language - as well as a second language. They learn so quickly when they are small. It never ceases to amaze me! Thanks for the chance to win!

My husband and I plan to teach our son to sign.

Please be advised that signing is always a stimulant to facilitate the visual, auditory, verbal parameters for infant development. Not as a preliminary replacement for verbal stimulation/development.

I picked this book up at chapters, also have a toddler with father who is deaf so little guy has been signing since he was a baby. This is a pretty good book for someone looking for a plan to use when introducing signs to their child.

I love sign language! right now i’m learning how to sign with my baby on
MindBites.com: http://www.mindbites.com/person/84-MySmartHands
The author’s name is Laura Berg and she teaches baby sign language classes (you can sign up online at Mysmarthands.com) as well as how to make your own baby sign language flash cards. I’m loving her baby sign language video on dictionary terms and I hope she comes out with a DVD soon!
