Babies who have just learned to crawl may seem like the ultimate trouble-making machines, but they’re really not.

trouble making baby

Before you start trying to discipline your roving baby, consider this…

Babies at 8 or so months (typical mid-crawling age) are too young to punish. Your baby is not being bad when he gets into stuff, he’s simply newly mobile and totally curious. Because babies are so darn curious it can seem like your baby is up to no good when he knocks the vase off the table or pulls pages out of a book, but he’s just trying stuff out. Your goal should be not to punish but baby-proof and baby-proof well so you have less to worry about.

Also you might want to look at your curious tot as a positive thing rather than as a trouble-maker. He’s right on track with normal development, healthy, and thinking about his world. Put up the vases, lock up the LPs, and sit back and watch all the cool stuff your baby is learning by exploring his world.
