I got a heads up about a special program coming up next week on ABC - Jay Schadler reports on the highs, lows and ultimate consequences of American children having children on the premiere of “Primetime: Family Secrets,” airing on TUESDAY, JUNE 23(10:00 – 11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
According to ABC, teen pregnancy rates are on the rise again (after staying low for the last few years). This special follows the lives of four families as they deal with the day-to-day realities of teen pregnancy. The show looks at a couple, high school seniors, raising their six month old together, 14-year-old Mahogany who attends a school designed for pregnant teens, an 18-year-old homecoming queen who becomes pregnant with the school’s star quarterback and more.
The show further looks at how sex ed is being taught in various schools. The preview looks great - if you’re a parent of teens, it’s a must-see. If you’re a teen parent there may be moments you will relate to, and educators will gain some new knowledge as well.
Watch the preview then tune in to ABC on TUESDAY, JUNE 23(10:00 – 11:00 p.m., ET) for the whole show.
