Gulp right. Still, some of you may be wondering, and it’s always better to know than it is stay in the dark.

Here’s the deal, you can use sex toys and any old sex position you like, so long as you follow these tips…

Keep your toys clean. Wash after each use (you should be doing this anyhow).

Never share toys that touch the inner orifices of your body (think vibrators) with another person.

Don’t use something in multiple body orifices. For example, if you have a toy you use for vaginal fun, don’t use it elsewhere in your body.

Be careful. Your cervix is a little more fragile during pregnancy, and it can bleed easier. You don’t need to worry about this much, just don’t get too rough. If you have pain, or notice an issue (bleeding, overly bad soreness, etc) stop what you’re doing and tell your health care provider.

Never do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Sex toys and games are good to go during pregnancy, unless your prenatal provider says otherwise (i.e. you have a pregnancy symptom like bleeding). However, no matter how safe sex toys and games are, you should always only do what you’re comfortable with. Pregnancy is a high stress time, and adding sex stress into the mix won’t help.
