Exercise to relieve back pain

Some studies show that more than 2/3 of pregnant women complain at least once (most more often) about back pain.

If you’re one of these women, you probably know that medications for back pain aren’t safe during pregnancy, so what can you do?

Swim: Swimming has been shown to reduce back pain and tension.

Exercise regularly: Strength exercises are especially useful.

Acupuncture: Make sure you find a provider who has worked with pregnant women.

Sleep with a supportive pillow - both for your head, and abdomen.
