Once you get the diaper bag, you may wonder: What do you put in it? Here are some ideas! (Still need a diaper bag? Click here to see many different styles!)

Be sure to keep the diaper bag by the door or in the car so you never find yourself on the go without the basics!

The essentials:
____ 2-4 spare diapers (if using cloth, also add wraps or pins/covers)
____ Diaper wipes
____ Plastic bags for used diapers/dirty clothes
____ 1-2 changes of clothes for baby
____ Formula/bottles (if not nursing)
____ Any prescription medication

The extras:
____ Extra formula (or powder and water)
____ Extra pacifier (keep clean in a baggie)
____ Burp cloth
____ Sweater or coat for baby
____ No-spill cup/bottle or a juice box
____ Pacifier and holder
____ Bib
____ Hat
____ Blanket (for warmth or nursing privacy)
____ Children's acetaminophen
____ Small package of facial tissues
____ Camera
____ Photos/brag book
____ Toys/books
____ Snacks (for baby and you)

Just for mom:
____ Clean shirt (in case of poop explosions, spitup, etc)
____ Breastpads
____ Bottle of water
____ Cell phone

Note: Of course, the contents of your diaper bag will vary depending on the age of your baby, whether or not you have other kids, and your parenting style. It will take you some time to figure out just what you need... and then your baby will grow up a little more, and everything will change again!PregnancyAndBaby.com
