Your question:
I was wondering if there is anyway that I could have gotten a false negative test result on a blood pregnancy test. I have had all of the symptoms of pregnancy such as nausea, extreme fatigue and also cravings such as for chicken and pickles, which I do not like. I also have had no signs of my period coming.

Dr Warhus answers:
Blood pregnant tests are usually very accurate, however they are not perfect. There's a small chance that you got a false negative test result or that the lab made an error. I think that given your symptoms along with the fact that you haven't gotten your period, you should have a repeat pregnancy test.

I also recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor. If the second test is positive, you could begin prenatal care. If the second test is negative, your doctor may want to examine you and perform additional tests to evaluate your condition further. I recommend that you see your doctor soon for a complete evaluation. PregnancyAndBaby.com
